Academic Tech Specialist
Responsible for supporting faculty in their use of technology in the classroom. Also, answering phone calls and emails from faculty to resolve issues and if necessary visit the classroom to resolve the issue. Students interested in this position must have exemplary customer service skills, and a good grasp of technology.

Audio Visual Specialist
Responsible for the delivery and support of technology in the classroom. The position will also be responsible for maintenance tasks associated with the delivered equipment, the ticket system as well as the equipment permanently installed in the classroom. Students interested in this position need to be able to move technology carts from storerooms to classrooms, as well as be customer service oriented, and be able to learn quickly about the technology that is in the classroom.

Computer Tech Specialist
Responsible for troubleshooting software and hardware problems involving workstations and peripherals. The applicant will need to be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Routine computer maintenance tasks will also be performed on a daily basis and monitor the ticket system. Applicant must have a basic knowledge of computer hardware and software. Good customer services skills are required. It is essential for Applicants to communicate effectively and listen perceptively with customers, management, and co-workers.

Call Center Support/Representative
The Call Center Support position is responsible for providing quality customer service by answering incoming phone calls from prospective students, parents, and other constituents in an interactive and high-energy environment. Provides enrollment information, answers general questions and routes calls to the appropriate person.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creates and maintains computerized records utilizing the call management software.
  • Must have proficient or advanced computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials.
  • Ability to work alone and as well as within a team is essential.
  • Must be independent and dependable individual with great verbal and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to represents the university in a positive and professional manner.

Lab Monitor
Interested students should have some knowledge of Microsoft Office and Web browsers (Google, Firefox, and Internet Explorer). Responsible for maintaining lab security, lab web report, ensure patrons can access the hardware and software provided within the lab, answer phone calls, monitor printers, and care for the overall appearance of the facility.

Network Technician
Responsible for assisting Network staff with maintenance, VOIP, VPN, Microsoft 365, installation, upkeep, inventory control, tracking, replacement of network hardware, and office equipment. To provide excellent service, the employee will listen to the customer and understand their needs; demonstrate an eagerness to help; help customers solve problems; maintain a professional disposition; be approachable, respectful, and team-oriented; take ownership of inquiries and assignments; provide updates for customers; and be familiar with the basic operations of the university in order to serve customers effectively. Preferred Graduate class standing

Operations Support Specialist
Responsible for providing general administrative support to the Office of Information Technology. Duties will include scheduling meetings, answering phones, filing, typing documents, routing mail, processing office documents, and other duties assigned. Qualifications needed are working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and the familiar use of a PC keyboard. Candidate must be comfortable using the internet and Web based applications. Must be dependable and timely, organized, good communication skills, writing skills and excellent customer service skills.

Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator is responsible for gathering the information needed to coordinate a project. A Project Coordinator also performs various administrative tasks which include filing project documents, creating and maintaining project schedules, and creating responsibility lists for those who are involved in a project. A Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing project activities in cooperation with and under the direction of the Project Manager to deliver a successful project.

Some Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in, Information Technology or Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of project management or IT management experience.
  • Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures. Experience in document writing and research.
  • Requires moderate interpersonal and communication skills.

Other Functions:

  • Prepare project planning documentation and manage project portfolio reporting software.
  • Organize project meetings and develop action items from meetings.
  • Provides project support on IT projects and business process improvement.
  • Collaboratively work with project team to execute project deliverables within schedule and on budget.
  • Develop and manage stakeholders’ communication, including status reporting, risk management, resolution and escalation of issues.
  • Collaborate with project team to identify, evaluate and document lessons learned during project.
  • Ensure client’s needs are met in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Supply Support Specialist
Responsibilities include receiving computer equipment and parts, data entry, create and update work orders, inventory, and other assigned duties. Qualifications needed are working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Must be very attentive and precise in data entry, dependable, organized, have good communication and writing skills.

Web Developer
The Student Web Developer will work with the OIT Web Services team to assist content editors, developers and project managers/coordinators with the maintenance and technical development of the university’s multiple websites. Immediate focus will be a review of content, content updating and code revision as part of both the current maintenance and potential redesign of the university’s primary website.

Some Qualifications:

  • HTML/XHTML/CSS knowledge
  • Graphics – Photoshop, Fireworks, etc.
  • Ability to build WordPress websites and/or use any other Content Management Systems
  • Ability to translate ideas into visual designs
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of team
