The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is excited to announce that Office 365 will be available soon to TSU Faculty and Staff. As part of an ongoing effort to improve our services, faculty and staff will adopt a new naming convention on April 23, 2018.
All faculty and staff will have their username and email standardized to aid the transition to Office 365, Exchange Online, and other single sign-on (SSO) applications. Faculty and staff with usernames that match the new convention will not be impacted by this change.
New Standardized Naming Convention
- Email: Firstname.Lastname@tsu.edu or Firstname.Lastname@tmslaw.tsu.edu
- Username: Firstname.Lastname
- Password: Current Computer Password
- Display name: Lastname, Firstname
Your new username (Firstname.Lastname) will be used to login to your computer. There will be no change in receiving your email. Your current email address and all current emails will be automatically forwarded to your new email address. However, if you receive email on your mobile device, you will have to change your user name to the new convention to receive any new incoming email.
OIT will perform the change beginning Saturday April 21, 2018. There may be interrupted services for the applications below during the maintenance window.
Beginning Monday April 23, 2018 you will use the new naming convention to login to the following:
- Email on Mobile Device
- Service Now
The Enrollment Services Call Center (ESCC) will reach out to faculty and staff impacted by the new naming convention and there will be other communications leading up to the change.
If you have any questions about the TSU Naming Convention change, please contact our technical support staff at the IT service center (ext. 4357) or visit our OIT website at http://oit.tsu.edu
